Overview
Extremely high scam risk: this appears to be a fake download page impersonating a major Brazilian crypto exchange. Recently registered (2 days old), claiming official status, regulation, and 5M+ users—all unsubstantiated and grossly inconsistent with its newness.
Why We Think This Is A Scam
Domain created only 2 days ago yet claims 'operating since 2013' and 'more than 5 million clients', which is not possible for a just-registered site.
Heavily impersonates 'Mercado Bitcoin', using their branding and claiming BACEN (Brazilian Central Bank) regulation, but is hosted on a completely unrelated, very new domain.
Encourages users to install a Windows executable, an extremely common delivery method for malware in crypto-fake-app scams.
Copyright footer claims '2025 Mercado Bitcoin — 2TM Group', but the official exchange site is mercadobitcoin.com.br, not mercadobitcoindesktop.com.
No legitimate contact/verification information, company registry, or links that allow users to actually connect to the real Mercado Bitcoin.
Heavy use of security/official-sounding terms ('regulated by BACEN', 'AES-256', 'supervised by Banco Central do Brasil') despite being a brand-new, unverified domain.
The download link does not redirect to a trusted app store or the real Mercado Bitcoin site, and the whole setup is typical of 'fake official app' scams.
